Welcome to ECE

Welcome to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering! We hope you enjoy browsing our web site. You will find descriptions of our activities, award-winning professors and students, and ongoing  research projects.

At the undergraduate level, ECE offers programs in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. Take a look at our streamed  programs with flexible options, detailed course descriptions and new  courses in energy systems, biomedical engineering and circuit design.  Check out current news about activities of our alumni, students,
project teams as well as seminars and events.

At the graduate level, ECE offers cutting edge research opportunities
for M.Sc. and Ph.D study with its 26 faculty members and 10 cross-appointed faculty members, 130 graduate students, and many laboratories organized under the umbrella of its six research groups.

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department is located in

ePOWER

Queen's Centre for Energy and Power Electronics Research (ePOWER)

Visit www.queensu.ca/epower to learn more about leading-edge research taking place at the Queen's Centre for Energy and Power Electronics Research (ePOWER). The newly-launched ePOWER website will provide up-to-date information on Centre research, members and supporters, with regular updates of Centre news and events.

ePOWER, established in March 2009, brings together academic and industrial researchers to develop a broad range of applications and expertise, from power transmission (generator to main distribution transformer) to alternative energy (including fuel cells, solar power and wind power) to power consumption (such as that found in communications and computer power systems) to power application-specific integrated circuits.
