ECE congratulates Symon Podilchak
His thesis investigated the use of electromagnetic surface waves to make innovative antennas and circuits possible. He used surface waves, normally considered to have an unwanted and parasitic effect, to engineering advantage.
“It has been an absolute privilege and honor to have my Ph.D. dissertation be recognized by Queen's University with the Engineering and Applied Science Outstanding Thesis award. Receiving this prize has helped me to realize and appreciate the importance of my research,” says Symon. “Completing my PhD at Queens generated many positive and productive discussions with ECE professors as well as many other academic and industrial researchers. These important discussions inspired many new ideas and encouraged me to pursue this research topic further in an academic setting. Thank you Queens!”
ECE congratulates Symon Podilchak who completed his thesis dissertation last September and convocated in November 2013.
