The Technical Services staff provide support to students, staff and researchers in the department. Services include:

  • Computing
    • Working with the individual or research group, help determine computing needs, specify systems, and configure hardware upon receipt
    • Diagnose hardware / software problems, recommend resolution, and work with the individual to repair the system
    • Configure and maintain the public computing labs
    • Working with instructors, determine what software and hardware is needed to support teaching, assist with ordering, configure, and deploy in the labs
  • Networking
    • Working with the individual or research group, help determine networking needs
    • Co-ordinate the installation of network drops
    • Determine firewall needs and configure
  • Order Processing
    • Process all purchases for the department
    • Inventory goods upon arrival
    • Debit accounts
  • Machining
    • Perform machine shop work for principal investigators and instructors

9:00AM to 12:00PM, 1:00PM to 3:00PM based on staff availability.
