Queen's Satellite and Mobile Communications Laboratory is located in Rooms 606 and 608 of Walter Light Hall in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Queen's University. The laboratory performs high-level research and offers training to highly qualified personnel in the fields of Digital Signal Processing, Wireless Communications and Networking, and Sensor Networks.

The laboratory gives priority to the newest and most advanced techniques in these fields such as neural networks, adaptive signal processing, adaptive modulation, cross-layer adaptation, MIMO systems, and sensor network. The Laboratory has expertise in analytical analysis and computer simulation as well as hardware implementation and field deployment.

The Laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art computing facilities, signal processing tools and networking software.

Currently, the Laboratory is accepting graduate students in the area of wireless sensor networks.

The laboratory is supervised by Dr. Mohamed Ibnkahla.
