NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRA)
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has a quota of 7 NSERC USRA's to be awarded to eligible students interested in working on a research project with a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
The award is valued at $4500 and will be supplemented with an additional 25% (minimum) from the research supervisor for a total of $5,625.00 or $1,406.25/month.
The duration of the award is 16 consecutive weeks, on a full-time time basis, between May and August 2010.
Interested students should first contact one or more faculty members about their willingness to supervise a student in a research project over the coming summer. As some faculty members indicate their interest in supervising a summer student, copies of their project proposals can be obtained from Patty Jordan.
Upon finding a prospective research supervisor, students should complete, sign and submit Part I of form 202 (online at http://www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca/OnlineServices-ServicesEnLigne/Forms-Formulaires_eng.asp); transcripts will be supplied by the department.
