Graduate Teaching Assistantship

Fall & Winter Term 2015-16

ECE invites applications for Graduate Teaching Assistantships for the 2015-16 academic year. Graduate TAs are assigned some combination of laboratory instruction, tutoring, and the marking of assignments, reports, quizzes, and midterm examinations, based on their applications. These TAs are normally assigned to perform 84 hours of work over one term (12 weeks).

When filling out the application, it is required to make at least four choices on each term. We will do our best to match your preferences, but we cannot guarantee that you will be placed in your most-preferred courses. The overall assignment of teaching assistants is based on qualifications as well as preferences, and is made in the best interests of the undergraduate program.

Course descriptions can be found at the Faculty of Applied Science web site under Calendar & Governance. Undergraduate course information can be accessed from the Department website under Undergraduate Studies.

To apply for a Graduate Teaching Assistantship, please fill out a graduate TA application form and submit it to Mary Gillespie in the main Department office (WLH-416) by July 15, 2015. Forms can be emailed to (ecegrad at queensu.ca) or mailed to the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Queen's University, Kingston, ON, K7L 3N6, Attn: Mary Gillespie, or sent via fax to 613-533-6615.
