A PhD candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Obadinma receives the 2022 Indigenous and Black Engineering and Technology (IBET) Momentum Fellowship, awarded annually to an Indigenous or Black student pursuing a doctoral degree in engineering.

Young alumnus continues entrepreneurial spirit, this time in Indigenous community

Alec Glover founded and operated a web development company, in addition to his full course load in Electrical and Computer Engineering, from his first year at Queen’s through graduation in 2020. When the pandemic restricted access to most office spaces, a new venture idea struck him: a shared coworking space in the Chippewas of Rama community, north of Toronto.
